August 2026
Welcome to August, beautiful soul. I am so grateful to have you here.
August is golden, abundant, and bittersweet. The days are still warm but the evenings are drawing in — and if you pause, you can feel the earth beginning to exhale. This is the heart of the harvest season.
🌾 Lughnasadh & the First Harvest
We step into August just days after Lughnasadh (1st August) — the ancient Celtic festival of first fruits, grain, and the rewards of effort. It marks the moment the Wheel of the Year tips from high summer toward the harvest: a time of receiving, of gratitude, and of deeply honouring all that has grown.
This month, ask yourself: what has quietly ripened in my life? What am I ready to receive with open hands?
•Bake bread. Slowly, intentionally. Let it be a meditation on growth.
•Build a small harvest altar — sunflowers, wheat, a golden candle, something from the garden.
•Write a ‘have done’ list — all you have created and offered since January. Be generous with yourself.
“August is the season of receiving. You have tended, you have grown. Now let yourself be filled.”
Love always, Janine xx
